Is it a curved penis or is it Peyronies Disease that you want to fix? Did you know these both are easy to straighten?
A mildly curving erection is normal. Did you know over 50% of all men have some degree of curvature in their penis. Yes, more than half of us.
But, if your bent penis is more than a small curvature, and it is bothering you, you can straighten it out very easily 99% of the time without surgery. Many doctors are now recommending correct traction as the first line of treatment.

There are 4 basic causes of a bent or curved penis:
A curved penis caused by autoimmune disease and medications are not that common. But, they definitely exist.
“Having certain autoimmune diseases, like lupus or Sjogren’s syndrome, can increase the likelihood of developing Peyronie’s disease. So can having certain connective tissue disorders, such as
Dupuytren’s contracture…. or plantar fasciitis.…

Those causes are rare. Sometimes they may require special attention. You’ll need to discuss that with your doctor.
So, on this page, we’re just going to cover congenital curving and Peyronies disease. And, we’ll be talking about popular treatments to fix these bends safely and easily.
First let’s talk about the congenital curved penis. A curved penis that you are born with.
The most common curvatures are congenital. And, these curves are usually quite small.
A lot of us get obsessively concerned with fixing this minor bending when we first notice it. That could be why you are reading this page right now. If this is your case, you can totally relax because a slight curvature will never cause you any problem with intercourse.
You may never have even noticed the slight bending for the first 20 or 30 years of your life. Or, maybe you noticed it and found it interesting. Or, maybe, a partner commented on it unfavorably and all you can think about now is how “abnormal” or deformed you are.
Again, these slight curves are normal and more than half of all men have them.
If there is no problem with intercourse, there is not a thing in the world you need to do about your cock, except enjoy it. There is nothing that needs fixing. Really.
Some men are born with a more pronounced bending. This is not common, but it happens. And, it may look just like Peyronies disease, but it is not.
“Congenital penile
curvature
does not involve scar tissue in the elastic coverings of the
erectile chambers, as is the case with Peyronie's disease.”
reference: Congenital Penile Curvature

It’s important to know the difference when you are considering what method to use for straightening.
Straightening a congenital severe bend is only
possible with surgery and traction. There are NO Injections that will straighten it. The
reason is: Injections are used to dissolve scar/plaque in the shaft when
scar/plaque is the cause of the bending.
With a congenital curvature, there is no such material causing the bend. It’s just that way you were built.
This is why surgery or PTT are going to be your only real choices. All the alternative treatment methods (enzyme therapy, vitamins, drugs, creams, etc…) will not work here because they also are all designed to dissolve/soften the hard scar in a Peyronie’s bend.
There is no such scar/plaque causing the bend in a congenital curvature.
Now, I want to show you why a slight bend is so common and so totally normal. And, most importantly, why it is nothing to be concerned about. And, nothing to fix.
No two matching parts in our bodies are identical.
Let's take a look:
Take a mirror and look at both of the nostrils in your nose. They’re not exactly the same. Are they?
Some people have almost identical ones. Some have a large one and a very small one. Most people just have two slightly different sized ones.
Now, look very closely at your eyes. One is a little bigger than the other. Or, a little more open than the other. Right? One might also be a little further down on your face than the other. Is it?
Compare the toes on your right foot with those on your left foot. Compare the nails on corresponding toes. Not exactly the same. Right?
And, so it is with the tissues inside your shaft that are causing the curving during erection. It’s not exactly the same all the way around inside the shaft. You just don’t notice this until you get erect.
It’s not abnormal. And, if the bend is slight (as most are), there is nothing wrong with it or you. Some women even find these small curves very sexy.
With Peyronies disease we sometimes get just a very mildly curved penis and don’t think anything of it. Just like the slight congenital curve. Again, if the curvature is slight, don’t worry about it.
When we get a severely bent penis from Peyronies, however:
we usually get very upset. Understandably so. I did. Every man I every talked with did.
So, if you have an erection that is bent like those three above, you must learn and understand one thing first:
Peyronies Disease is
NOT
a “Disease”
That’s correct. It's not an illness. Or, a sickness.
This condition known as Peyronies “disease: is not a disease at all.
It’s not caused by any kind of pathology 99.999% of the time.
“Peyronie’s disease is not contagious
or
caused by any known transmittable disease.”
reference: What is Peyronies Disease?
The National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases
https://www.niddk.nih.gov/health-information/urologic-diseases/penile-curvature-peyronies-disease
That’s always the question.
This type of penis bending is caused by a simple a hardened scar/plaque formation inside the shaft (on the erectile chambers) that does not stretch as much as the surrounding tissues. So, it makes the erection bend in it’s direction.
Now, a scar is not a disease. Is it? It's a scar. A healed wound. Nothing more. It is no more a “disease” than the scar on your face, foot, or hand. It’s a scar.
The scar may have hardened with some fibrous plaque. That’s not like the plaque that builds up in veins and arteries. It’s rather like small microscopic "ropes" that make the scar stronger, tougher, and less stretchable.
At the end of the day, it’s still just a scar.
Now you tell me: Is a scar “disease”? Or, is it just a scar? It's nature’s way of repairing torn soft tissue and making it even stronger so that it won't damage as easily the next time. See?
Here’s the difference between you and 95% of other men:
The Peyronies scar has hardened. Usually with some fibrous plaque and/or calcification. It may even just have grown thicker. This only happens to about 5% of us.
Any other scar on your body that hardens is usually not even noticed. But, now, when the tissue has to stretch four or five times larger during erection, it can not. So, it makes the penis bend during erection.
Again: That’s all there is to it.
This is a condition that happens to about 5% of men. Some sources say 4% - 9%. Whatever. It’s not most men.
Most men can have the same internal scarring and never bend even a tiny bit. Other men, like us, with smaller scars, can bend a lot.
You will often hear that there is no known cause for the bending.
Nonsense. Hogwash. Hooey.
So, why does it seem like a mystery, and often get called a mystery?
The answer is very simple.
Here’s why:
Even if the injury happened 20 or 30 years ago, the thickening and hardening might only be taking place right now. In mid life. Midlife is when most men develop this kind of bend (though it can happen anytime). And, this hardening process is primarily a genetic (inherited) cause. Sometimes it’s a dietary cause.
If no scar or plaque is present, and the curvature is not congenital, then the curving is being caused by an autoimmune disorder, a complication from medication, or constant pulling in one direction.
An autoimmune disorder and certain medications can cause inflammation that results in scarring. Just like the scar from a trauma (injury).
An autoimmune disorder or medication can also just cause a thickening of part of the erectile chambers or tunica albuginea. So, no lump may be felt like the lump normally associated with Peyronies disease.
This thickening can cause a severe bend just like Peyronies disease can.
In any and all events, a curved penis is not a mystery. There is always a cause.
That’s a great question.
Mostly it’s just genetics. Actually, hardening of your scars might be considered a big plus anywhere else on your body. The damaged area has become stronger and firmer.
The cause can also be dietary. A lack of certain nutrients that are needed to keep the tissues supple. (That’s for another article all together.)
Unfortunately, this stronger scar inside our penises is now causing our erections to bend. Sometimes very severely.
This is another important question. And, it has a very simple answer.
Here's the story:
The hardened scar causing the bending was first discovered by a French surgeon way back in 1743. His name was Francois De La Peyronies.
Back then, medicine was just beginning to be codified and organized. If you discovered the cause of some physical problem, almost anything, it might very well be named after you.
So, this discovery was named “Peyronie’s disease”. Later the apostrophe was dropped. Very unfortunately, the name stuck.
So, now many men suffer needlessly under the delusion that they have an actual penis disease. It is not a “disease”. It’s a condition caused by some hardened scar tissue. The name is traumatizing to many of us. It’s needlessly scary. And, it's a true misnomer.
But, take a deep breath now and relax. There is usually no need to worry here.
RARELY is this scar/bending caused by a pathology. Rarely.
“The plaque seen in Peyronie’s disease is benign, or noncancerous, and is not a tumor.”
“Peyronie’s disease is not contagious or caused by any known transmittable disease.”

The National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases https://www.niddk.nih.gov/health-information/urologic-diseases/penile-curvature-peyronies-disease
Now, here’s the very good news: A bent or curved penis is very easy to straighten and fix 99.99% of the time without surgery, injections, or drugs.
The #1 medically recommended method for straightening a bent or curved penis, safely and easily, is called Penis Traction Therapy. We'll be discussing this (in this article) in more detail soon.
The fact is: Surgery is usually only reserved for the cases that don’t respond to other treatments or to extremely deformed cases.
“Surgery...for Peyronies disease.... is usually only recommended in severe cases for patients who fail to respond to non-surgical therapy and have curvature for longer than 12 months.”

OK. I’m sure this is the section most of you came here specifically for.
“How can I fix my curved penis
without surgery?”
Right?
Here we go:
There are only two non-surgical treatment methods of penis straightening that give consistent results and are are medically recommended.
These are:
If the curvature is congenital, the only choice is PTT.
In either event: PTT has proven to be the Safest and Most Effective of all three methods. PTT is also non-invasive, and, the least expensive by far.
So, what is PTT?
PTT was first introduced in 1994 by the inventor of the modern penis traction device. His name is Dr. Jorn Ege Siana MD, a penis surgery specialist. (– Medical Doctor (MD) – June 1983, School of Medicine, University of Copenhagen– Member of American Society of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery (ASAPS) – Founding member of International Association of Male Sexual Surgery)
Dr. Jorn Ege Siana first developed this device to keep men’s penises straight after a penis straightening surgery.
He soon discovered that the device, all by itself and without surgery, could straighten a curved penis.
A new chapter in bent and curved penis straightening had begun.
Can PTT replace surgery for a curved penis?
For most men, yes. For absolutely all men? No.
But, the simple penis traction device developed by Dr. Jorn Ege Siana can be effective in 99% of curvature cases.
Quite simply: If you have a bent or a curved erection, one side of the shaft is shorter than the other. That’s why it bends.
Does that make sense?
What the penile traction device does is give an even and straight pull to the entire shaft.
The shorter part(s) get pulled first. And, until they are stretched out, these shorter parts get more of a pull than the longer part(s). They are stretched more. They becomes more equal to the rest of the tissue during erection. This is what causes the straightening.
Traction therapy does two things:
These tiny tears heal very rapidly with new cells. This repeated cellular growth done many many times creates new measurable tissue that is permanent.
Between the stretching of the shorter tissue and the newly developed tissue within the scar, the erections eventually stretch more evenly and straighten out.
There are a number of injection that are tried for straightening. Verapamil is probably the most famous. But, the positive results with Verapamil are quite limited.
"Verapamil is one of the most popular treatments, its injected directly
into the plaque built up in the penis. Although it helps to soften this
plaque in hopes of breaking it down – its just not strong enough to
effectively treat anything but the mildest beginning cases."

Xiaflex® is the only FDA approved injection for Peyronies Disease straightening.
If you have congenital curvature, Xiaflex® will do you absolutely no good.
Xiaflex® is a trade marked name for a brand of collagenase clostridium histolyticum. It was originally developed for Dupuytrens Contracture, an abnormal thickening of the tissue just beneath the skin in the hands that makes the fingers bend inward.
With Xiaflex® you can only expect a 35% straightening improvement at best. And, that is only for certain types of cases.
"Xiaflex is used only when the original curve is greater than 30 degrees – since that’s when major insurers will provide reimbursement as the drug is very expensive.... The results “are not overwhelming and dramatic,” said Dr. Culley C. Carson III, a professor of urology at the University of North Carolina."

35% my not sound too great, especially with a cost of about $30,000. But, it can be enough to allow for painless intercourse.
Unfortunately, Xiaflex® also comes with some pretty serious possible side effects, including corporal rupture: a medical emergency of internal bleeding that must be handled immediately. You can see the entire list of possible side effects on the official Xiaflex® website.
This is a very important point for your happiness.
No matter what method of straightening you use, I want to give you a little warning here:
Please don’t get mentally consumed trying for a perfectly arrow straight erection. That probably will not happen.
No matter which method of curved penis straightening you use, don’t expect a perfectly straight erection at the end of the process.
A decently straight erection is all you need for great sexual intercourse. Isn't that the goal? And, that is all most “normal” men have anyway.
If you’re getting a nice hard erection, and, intercourse is no problem for you or your partner, you’ve reached the goal. You’re “normal” again.
Surgery will, at first, give the straightest quickest result most of the time. 8 weeks from surgery to healing.
During the surgical procedure, the surgeons will test their work by inducing an artificial erection before they sew everything closed again. Normally, they make any necessary corrections before closing everything up.
This way, they can see that the new erections will be straight. This sounds great so far.
HOWEVER: Be forewarned: Surgeries can be great, but they are not insignificant procedures. Penile sensitivity will be lost due to cut nerves in the tissues. AND: About 33% of surgeries will curve again later.
Surgery comes with some serious possible side effects that include:
“Dr. Wimpissinger and colleagues followed 38 patients for a mean of 9.3 years (±5.2 years). All patients included in the retrospective study were operated on for chronic stable PD using plaque incision and grafting….
‘We saw that results tend to worsen with time,’ said Dr. Wimpissinger, who presented the study results at the 2011 European Association of Urology annual congress in Vienna.
Compared to past studies, Dr. Wimpissinger and colleagues concluded that, with longer follow-up, an increasing number of patients have recurrent curvature, erectile dysfunction, and shortening of the penis….
Rises in curvature, ED (erectile dysfunction) noted:
After a mean of 9.3 years, the recurrence of postoperative curvature had increased from 0% after a mean of 38 months (18–73 months) to 23.7%, post-op erectile dysfunction increased from 3.0% to 39.5%, penile shortening from 0.0% to 65.8%, and impairment of penile sensitivity from 3% to 31.4%.”
reference: Outcomes of Peyronie's Surgery Worsen Over Time
https://www.urologytimes.com/modern-medicine-now/outcomes-peyronies-surgery-worsen-over-time
This should be the entire goal: A comfortable, decently straight, fully functional erection that does not cause you or your partner pain.
You are trying to achieve a normal sex life again, right? So, the goal here is to get a normally functioning erection again.
Surgery, Traction, and Xiaflex® injections can straighten a penis nicely. That means straight enough for intercourse without pain for either you or your partner. But, perfectly straight. Probably not. And, that is where you can drive yourself needlessly crazy.
Don’t make yourself crazy. It's just not necessary.
Try to Remember: A fully functional erection that gives pain free intercourse to both partners is the goal. Once you reach that point, you needn't go any further. You’re done.
Yes, a surgery may be the straightest correction possible. At first. But, as those new incision scars harden, you are most likely going to get at least some curvature later.
In the long run, all three methods will probably share the same effectiveness.
The only difference is PTT is safest. And, by far, the least expensive. It is also the only method that you can get some guarantees with.
And that brings us to our last very important point:
If a bent or curved penis is your problem, is it really a problem? Or, are you just fixated on it?
This is a very important point. Especially if you are considering surgery or injections.
If your curve is small,
the very best advice you will get from any competent professional is: “Leave it alone. There is nothing to fix.”
If the curve is moderate to severe, and/or straightening is necessary for painless intercourse, or, just for your own desire, please consider the options carefully.
Doesn't it just make sense to choose the Safest (and least expensive) medically recommended method first? That method is PTT. Penis Traction Therapy.
To recap: The only three methods of straightening that are consistently reliable are:
Of these three choices PTT has been proven to be Safest and Most Effective.
Why?
The Penis Traction Devices we found best also come with a money back guarantee. So, if you use one of those and don’t get results, it will cost you nothing to try.
Now, with all you know, I have to ask: What make the most sense to You to try first?
A curved penis can sometimes be only a personal annoyance or source of insecurity.
Or, it can be a serious problem to having intercourse.
You should remember: Over half of ALL men have some curvature in their erection. It’s natural and perfectly OK.
The most important point:
If your bending, or, curved penis causes no problems or pain during intercourse, you should just forget about it and enjoy it as it is. Over half of all men have some penis curvature.
On The Other Hand: If your curvature is over 30 degrees, is causing serious problems with intercourse, or, gets worse over time, it’s probably Peyronies disease. Again, don’t panic. Peyronies disease is easy to correct 99% of the time with just simple traction using a high quality traction device.
From a practical standpoint:
If your bent or curved penis is bending enough that sex is very difficult, or painful to you or your partner, or, it simply is making you miserable, PTT is the Safest, Simplest, Least Expensive, Medically Recommended Method of curved penis straightening in the world.
Penis Traction Therapy is medically endorsed and doctor recommended in 29 countries world wide.
Be in Good Health…..
